It’s seed-time! Do You Have Your

Seed in the Ground?”

We will never see a harvest if we don't have seed planted!

Praise the Lord everyone! What is on my heart this month? Well

spring has sprung, and if you take a drive to anywhere out in the coun-

try you will see farmers planting seeds diligently in their fields. It is that

time of year again...seed-time! Time to plant seeds! For others this

may involve planting vegetable seeds in their gardens, or for others

planting seeds to grow up a beautiful bed of flowers. Regardless you

will never see a crop of anything if you don’t plant your seeds! And

this is what the Lord laid on my heart hard this week….and he spoke to

me and said, “Do you have your seed in the ground?”

I knew what the Lord meant by it, and I said back to Him “You know I

do!” Now even though farmers, and gardeners are planting seeds in

the natural, the Lord was talking about spiritual seeds. And I knew the

Lord was referencing prayers that I have prayed, things I have asked

the Lord for in faith, expecting these seeds sown to grow into a crop of

life, of victory and joy! As the Lord and I were having this conversation,

He gave me this vision…

In my vision I saw people, going out to their fields; large fully plowed

and tilled fields. (I knew in the vision they were their fields) and I saw

each person looking longingly hoping that something would happen.

Some I saw in the vision as they stared at their field looked confused,

others frustrated, or saddened, wondering why it wasn’t producing

something? I could tell each person had desires, to either make money

with the sale of the crops, others were hungry and would of liked to of

eaten some garden vegetables or fruits. Regardless all that was before

them was a large open prepped and ready field...waiting...for seed!

Then the Lord began to speak to me, “This is how many in the body of

Christ act and feel, so many want the harvest, want the victory of a

bountiful reward, but never learn to plant seed. They only know since

it’s a field it should just produce, it should give them what they

want...just by hoping, praying, being desperate, or expressing their

want. They have not learned that to have a crop, (of anything good)

requires labor, work, sweat, and time, and most importantly seed. A

seed enables a crop...in due time...in a season, that is future, (or not

yet) but rather...must grow to be received in another season.

Every believer wants the victory, every believer

wants to experience the “more moments” from

God! Those moments when the abundance seems

poured out, almost of as if mana from Heaven is

raining down on you in your life.

Listen to the words of Paul…

2 Corinthians 9:6 (NKJV)

But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap

sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap

bountifully.

This is a Kingdom truth...if you sow nothing...you get

nothing!

Galatians 6:7 (NKJV)

7Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for what-

ever a man sows, that he will also reap.

If you sow nothing you reap nothing...this is why

people in my vision were just staring at the

empty...fields...they had sowed nothing, yet won-

dered why the soil did not produce?

God has given us each a field in our lives, and for

some of us our field has expanded and grown into

hundreds of acres in the spirit. We have learned to

sow seed and have learned to harvest a crop in due

season. We have learned to labor, (to surrender

seed to the soil and to God) in what is required to

reap a bountiful crop of blessings and abundance.

Praise God I learned these truths when I was

young...but for others...they still stare at the dirt.

Now with this truth, I want to be direct, “we each

have our own field, it is ours to; tend, till, plow, fer-

tilize, plant, and weed and harvest.” I can’t work in

your field, and your can’t work in mine, it’s individ-

ual, the labor must be done by me, and me alone!

Over the years as a pastor I have met people who

just want me to do the work for them. To grow

them spiritually and to labor in their field so they

have can have a crop, whether faith, wisdom, under-

standing, and more of the spirit or power. I have told

them over and over, “you gotta do the work!” You

need to read “your Bible,” (the seed of the Word)

your gotta learn to pray, (seeds of trust) you gotta

learn to share your faith, (seeds of the Gospel) you

gotta learn to be still before God (seeds of intimacy

and sensitivity to His voice)...etc…”

I can’t do the work for you, you have to learn to sow

your seed in your own harvest field! If not you will

just have a field of empty dirt.

As my vision progressed, I saw some, yelling at the

dirt, “what’s wrong with you...why won’t you pro-

duce?” Another in my vision scooped up a handful of

soil and started praying over it, “Please Lord bless

this soil, let it produce a crop!” Finally the last one,

said, “It needs watered,” and proceeded to water it

over and over till it became mud. Everyone of them

seemed confused that nothing was growing? They

used energy, labored, some even took the spiritual

route. Regardless the one thing they all had in com-

mon...

A simple truth, “NO SEED!” So my word to you to-

day...is the same one the Lord spoke to me, “Do you

have your seed in the ground?” It’s seed time!!!!

Plant your field!!!

Lastly I end with the words of Paul….

Galatians 6:9 (NIV)

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the

proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give

up.

Jesus loves you and so do I!
